Another Robbery: Bryn Mawr Neighborhood, Minneapolis

Bryn Mawr is on the near north side, and has always been advertised as the "good" and "safe" neighborhood amid the rough spots.

Not anymore.

The Minneapolis Police have issued a crime alert as follows, dated 5/25/06:

Bryn Mawr Neighborhood May 25, 2006

Facts:

On Monday, May 22 at approximately 6:30 p.m., a resident in the 200 block of Morgan Ave. S. was robbed in his driveway. Four male suspects robbed him of his wallet, approximately $70.00, his Minnesota driver’s license, and his work ID. The men fled on foot. The victim chased the suspects in his car but lost them.

This is not a pattern and appears to be an isolated incident.

Suspect information

The suspects were described as four black males wearing basketball jerseys and “Starter” jackets. According to the victim, the jerseys and jackets were black with a mix of other colors.
