Minneapolis Quagmire, Part 854

The Minneapolis Police SAFE Unit has issued a Crime Alert following a robbery of person as follows:

On Monday 5-22-06 at about 7:55 pm a Robbery of Person occurred on the 4700 block of Girard Av S. Here is the public info from that report;

“VICTIM REPORTED THAT SUSPECT GRABBED HER PURSE AND THREW HER TO THE GROUND. SUSPECT FLED IN A VEHICLE. VICTIM HAD MINOR INJURIES AND REFUSED EMS. VICTIM WAS GIVEN A BLUE CARD AND ADVISED. TOTAL LOSS ESTIMATED AT APPROXIMATELY $800.00.”

The suspect is described as a black male, 6’00” to 6’02”, mid 30’s, with a clean shaven head.

This is a nice part of town, good readers. Where are the Minneapolis City leaders? Why are the citizens of the city who are not furtunate enough to live or work in the "Safe Zone" subject to this level of violence?
