Help With Shooting Of Girl Who Stayed Out Too Late

The Minneapolis Police request assistance in finding the shooter of a 13 year old girl who was out on the streets way past her bedtime:

Police seek help in identifying a person who shot a 13-year old

(Minneapolis, MN May 9, 2006) Minneapolis Police are investigating a shooting which occurred on May 7, 2006 at 11:30 p.m. The victim was a 13-year old female who was standing with a group in front of 2410 11th Avenue South. Another group of people approached and moments later a shot was fired striking the 13-year old in the hip area. It is believed that both groups were at a neighborhood party earlier in the evening. Investigators do not know whether the 13-year old was the intended target.

The victim is recovering at Hennepin County Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.
