Minneapolis Armed Robber Caught On Tape

The latest piece of garbage to score big in a Minneapolis armed robbery was wearing a funny hat, as KSTP Eyewitness News reports. The crime itself was not so amusing: "'Jester' holds up Minneapolis store".

An armed robber wearing a jester hat is caught on tape holding up a convenience store.

Police say the man stole tens of thousands of dollars worth of merchandise from the Super Fiesta Foods on Nicollet avenue south. The robber walked into the store around noon today and pointed a gun at the heads of customers and the owner.

The man was wearing a green and blue jester hat when he entered the store with a gun.
Unfortunately for the store, the media is reporting the huge take the robber got away with. This will certainly embolden further robberies of that store, or ones like it:

He then pointed a gun at the owner and forced her behind the counter before he took $20,000 in jewelry, the wallets of everyone in the store, and $9,000 in cash that was kept behind the counter. The money was for an international wire service that was set to go to families in Mexico.

Before the robber left the store he congratulated the owner and the customers for surviving, and said everything was now ok. The owner says she wants the man caught, no only because she wants her money back, but now she's too afraid to be alone.
On the TV News version of KSTP's report, the store owner said she was not sure the business would continue.

Take heed, Mayor Rybak. Your city is losing business because of crime. The Minneapolis city leaders and Hennepin County Attorney Klobuchar have really dropped the ball.
