Peebles peoples

More Minneapolis school superintendent Thandiwe Peebles drama here in today's Strib. "Black leaders" are calling for the head of School Board member Colleen Moriarty because...

Moriarty has broken the trust with the black community by criticizing Peebles before an inquiry is completed into allegations that the superintendent assigned employees to do her personal work, among other claims, said Francine Chakolis, president of the Minnesota Alliance of Black School Educators and a city resident. "The superintendent needs to have due process," Chakolis said.
It seems like a lot of people are jumping to conclusions. The Rev. Ian Bethel plays the race card, which means there is no substance to his position:

The Rev. Ian Bethel, pastor of New Beginnings Tabernacle, said that Peebles was helping to close the learning gap between white and minority students, and that the allegations and newspaper coverage amounted to a "bright daylight lynching."
The alleged crime?

School board members ordered an investigation after receiving two anonymous letters that said Peebles misused her office by assigning school employees to do personal chores for her. Copies of the letters were sent to state officials and the Star Tribune.
Glory be. Maybe the reverend Bethel isn't too far off after all. The board picked Ms. Peebles, and now they're throwing her under the bus. Isn't it amusing when liberals turn on their own? The black "community" supports her without knowing what the investigation will reveal, and the (white) School Board has hung her out to dry without knowing what the investigation will reveal.

Fools, all.
