Perspective

The coordinated, nationwide anti-war protests on 8/17/05 were widely reported from various news organizations, such as the Red Star, here. The Minneapolis protest occurred on the Lake Street/Marshall bridge over the Mississippi river. The Red Star reports a turnout of 1200, according to the organizers.

The protests and turnouts, organized by radical left-wing organizations such as MoveOne.org, were widely hailed and celebrated in the liberal press.

As mentioned above, an alleged 1200 peaceniks turned out for the Minneapolis protest. This represents .0002352 of the population of Minnesota, and .003209 of the population of Minneapolis.

CNN reports that there were approximately 200 protestors in Cincinnati, OH on 8/17/05. This represents .0006366 of the population of that city.
