Caribou coffee and Islamic Sharia law

For those of you not familiar with Caribou Coffee, they are regional and growing fast (300+ stores), aiming to compete with the likes of Starbucks. And by the way, and they follow the same Islamic religious law as the Taliban.

Shot In The Dark reports on the Caribou-Islamic connection here.
Rambix' initial report is here.
Little Green Footballs weighs in:

The chairman of Caribou’s shari’a supervisory board (until the connection was exposed and they disassociated from him) was none other than Muslim Brotherhood “spiritual leader” Dr. Yusuf Abdullah Al-Qaradawi.
The always sharp Lileks is all over this. Great post (you'll need to scroll down to the June 13th, 2005 entry) here.

Rambix had thought something was up, because it seemed unusual that the counter staff would shout "Allahu Akbar!" after a customer placed an order. They don't do that at Starbucks.
