Charges Filed For Block E Murder
Derick Dasean Holliday, 21, was charged with one count of first-degree murder, one count of attempted murder, and one count of assault after police say he fired a bullet randomly into a crowd near the Target Center late Friday night. The bullet struck Alan D. Reitter, 31, of Minnetonka in the head. Police found him lying in a pool of his own blood. He died a short time later at Hennepin County Medical Center. The intrepid JB Doubtless of Fraters Libertas comments on and provides a very interesting part of an email regarding the movie suspect Holliday attended prior to the murder: "It's A Culture Thing...You Wouldn't Understand".
Holliday told police that he'd just gone to see the movie 'ATL' armed with a .44 Magnum.
