Charges Filed For Block E Murder

Derick Dasean Holliday is charged with the first degree murder of Alan D. Reitter, according to KSTP News web site.

Derick Dasean Holliday, 21, was charged with one count of first-degree murder, one count of attempted murder, and one count of assault after police say he fired a bullet randomly into a crowd near the Target Center late Friday night. The bullet struck Alan D. Reitter, 31, of Minnetonka in the head. Police found him lying in a pool of his own blood. He died a short time later at Hennepin County Medical Center.

Holliday told police that he'd just gone to see the movie 'ATL' armed with a .44 Magnum.

Chicago police are searching for the gunman who fatally shot a 17-year-old during a brawl outside a movie theater at the Ford City Shopping Center on the Southwest Side over the weekend.

Willie Williams Jr., a junior from Chicago's Robeson High School, died of a gunshot wound to his head early Saturday. He died at Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn about 17 hours after he was shot.

Police said the shooting occurred during a large fight outside a theater where Williams had gone with friends to watch the movie "ATL." Officers said it was one of two brawls at Ford City during a 24-hour period.
