Minneapolis crimewatch follow-up

Rambix reported on this story June 8, 2005. Good news - the scumbag is bagged. Here's the Red Star Story:

"Minneapolis police arrested a man suspected of raping a woman near St. Anthony Main and another woman in Bloomington.

Police picked him up Wednesday at the Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport when he returned from Mexico, said Capt. Rich Stanek."
As is the Red Star custom, when the suspect is a minority, identifying information is suppressed until they can't hold it back any longer. Since the suspect was arrested returning from Mexico, we assume he's Mexican. The Red Star is loathe to implicate a minority in a crime. If the suspect was white, we'd know his name, date of birth, and shoe size.

Now Rambix knows that the vast majority of Mexicans are good people, and Rambix does not entertain racist inferences, but one wonders if some governments send their criminal elements to America due to our policies of uber-tolerance and political correctness. Does the Muriel boat lift from Cuba ring any bells?

This is scary stuff, and the police did yeoman's work getting this rat off the streets:

"In the Minneapolis case, a woman in her early 20s was approached from behind about 10:15 p.m. June 3 as she went to her car, which was near the entertainment district at 2nd Street and 3rd Avenue SE., Stanek said. She was taken to another car, where she was raped, stabbed and tied up, he said."

These crimes occurred in popular and well-traveled parts of town; this is what makes them so egregious. The police are doing what they can, but we need the courts to follow suit. Give these dirtbags something to worry about.

On another note, how would you feel if you learned this rat came from Mexico illegally? Nothing burns Rambix more than criminals coming from other countries to cause mayhem here in the US of A. They ought to throw the book at this guy. Let's hope for some quick justice.
